A letter from
Evelyn Waghorn I just had to write to say that I had a very pleasant time at the family service at St. Philip's on Sunday. The hymns, chosen by the Brownies, were well known, unlike some of the ones we struggle through at the 11 o' clock service! It was a pleasure to worship with members of our community who maybe find the communion service a little daunting, but given time and encouragement may eventually join us at the parish communion on the other Sundays. It would be lovely if we could all worship together instead of having half the congregation at the family service and half at the 11 o' clock service. Would it not be possible to have a said communion after the family service for those who feel communion is an essential part of their weekly worship? The said communion is an attractive service in its own right and would bring another dimension to our church. Am I the only one to feel this way? I look forward to hearing other people's views.
